I like Anne Tyler's books - I like her writing style, I like the fact that she writes about somewhat quirky but still ordinary people. I liked this book - but it didn't grab me in such a way that it was a 4 or 5 star read. The characters were okay, the plot was okay, the book never left me thinking "will this book EVER end?" - but I also didn't feel compelled to stay up late to keep reading.
So, a solid 3 star read, but, for me, nothing to push it into a higher category. A nice book, but not a compelling book.
